Can even record video in the program… would have been nice to know that before I got this program…

I have saved clips and have edited e few times but now pressing export button just locks the program. Therefore I did not get what I paid for. I hope they can find a way to fix this. I have uninstalled and downloaded again but did not work. I desperately waiting for a fix.
Easy to use application, I am not vey skilled any video editing at all and I was able to use this application with ease. I had to asked support for help a couple of times but response was prompt and I was able to resulve the issues I had. I can merge, split videos which are the 2 main things I needed to do and I could not fidure how to do it with iMovie. Recommended.
I use this software to edit my video projects on my mac. Wasn’t looking for something as expensive as Final Cut Pro X but this is significatly cheaper and has all the main bells and whistles.
This is a surprisingly robust and easy to use app for very basic video editing. However, please be aware that the lite version does stamp a watermark onto your exported video - a fact that is poorly, if not at all, communicated. This makes it pretty essential that you purchase the full version if you are happy with the app. I did feel a bit tricked after I spent the time creating my first project to suddenly be informed of the watermark. Just be honest.
This is the worst application I have! Its audio functions are so limited! I mean, I’m only a kid and I know that this is a very under quality editing app. Also, with the export, if you try to cancel, it freezes and you have to restart the whole project! I hate this app.
Don't buy
Took 3 days and over 48 hours to make a video, just to have this app black screen some of the videos. Waste of time and money.
One of the best apps I ever bought
I have been using this app for some years, and am constantly impressed with how intuitive it is, and how easily I can do what I want to do. Granted, my needs are simple. However, it works really well for me. You just can't beat it, especially for the price.
Useless due to watermark
Waste of time unless you pay for it. Watermark covers most of the video.
Lifetime is not lifetime
I purchased the "lifetime" subscription which promises that you pay once and then can use the app forever, without any watermarks. However, when I installed the app on my new computer, and signed in with my apple ID, the program asks me to pay for a lifetime subscribtion again. I can't press "restore purchase" because it doesn't work. Moreover, you will find this out only when you try to save the video that you worked on, prompting you to either pay or lose all your work. Thinking that I already paid, I wasted a lot of time working on the project only to find out that "lifetime" subscribtion is not even remotely lifetime.
Goof for What I Need
I haven't had any issues and the software has done what I have expected it to do. No issues for me, but my projects are not huge, and I may not be using it as much as some other folks. Thank you.
My Go-To Video Editor
I keep several video editors on my desktop and on my phone, and Movie Edit Pro is still my go-to when I first reach for an editor. It's simple, quick, and intuitive. It does exactly what I need right away.
Basic Editing Only
This is a very basic program, so, the editing options are very limited. Nevertheless, it has served my purpose well. You will certainly get what you pay for though. I have used this for a few years now.

BEST VIDEO EDITOR EVER (2022)
I don’t leave a review unless something impresses me so fully that I’m ALL IN for being the town crier on the product! And that is very rare indeed. I’m a stickler for an intuitive UI and seamless editing. These are NOT common features amongst the plethora of free, let alone paid, video editor apps and software. I have tried many. iMovie was so difficult I uninstalled it within a week or 2 of first getting my MacBook pro. Most of the other “free” ones didn’t allow you to do anything without either making you jump through 10-15 different hoops to get there, wasting precious time and energy, or making the tools and the process so obscure that you would wind up throwing in the towel one way or the other out of frustration. But THIS app - Movie Edit Pro - THIS IS THE ONE TO GET. If you want a smooth intuitve, clean and simple UI, that basically does EVERYTHING you want it to do. Just PLEASE try it and then pay the amazingly reasonable fee of $20 to remove that watermark when you fall in love with using it and then use it to your heart’s content forever. I cannot thank these guys enough. Now all my video editing needs are taken care of — forever. I created a video I have been trying to make for 2 years now in less than 30 minutes total from importing everything, and lining everything up, to export. O.M.G. I cannot recommend this app enough here. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
Waste of time and $
One of the worst edititing software out there ! Ive had to try and export to mp4 video over 5 times (over 3 hours each time ) and it still wont work.. barely any transitions or special fx in my video and it still wont export properly !
Very Good and reliable
This app is almost perfect if not for the occassional glitch prior to exporting a project video. Other than that, it's very useful and reliable. The results are always rewarding.
Average
Needs more transitioning and effects. Reviews are spot on with good, easy to use and welcomes a new editor. Downside is limited in options for editing options. Its a good starter editor.
THE WORST EVER
I paid for the "premium" version just for the watermark to still show up at the end of editing a 2 hour documentary. Complete waste of money and a scam. This company is a fraud and the features are basic to put it kindly.
Not worth it
I thought it would have been worth paying $20 to make a great job. Especially working on final projects but clearly my experience was not the great I literally relied on this app for a final project and made everything more compilicated to transfer from the original and to the "pro" app. I need a refund.

Able to export
Does what I need to par down old films... Instructions could be better, but figured out the basics. It converts to quick time file upon exporting so I'm able to share with non mac family.

this is great for editing for a family video but you don't have a lot of features to make this exceptional.
STUPID
just give me a freaking video app that i can just make a simple freaking video out of that i dont have to pay 20 dollars for some stupid watermark. however, quicktime video works for it
Fairly Intuitive
Needed to make a quick file conversion from a format I wasn’t familiar with (gp3). Haven’t worked with video editing software much so needed something pretty simple. Downloaded it from App Store and made my conversion quickly. Works great

You download for free and when you have your work ready to export, they charge you 20 dollars. For the free version you have a huge red watermark

Pretty good after paid
This is a pretty good app, but only if you pay. I deffinitly think that if you want something free but still good don’t get it. The free version is a waste of time, mostly becuase the watermark is red and awful and covers most of the video after you export it. But, once I paid, the water mark is gone and the quality is good. If you think 20 dollars is a waste of money DO NOT GET THIS APP! One reason why I chose this app in the first place was because it worked with my old 2010 Mac, and it was free. So now the free part is gone and there is only the fact that it works for this computer, There are probably quite a few other options that you have to pay but are cheaper… So use your judgement. All that being said, I have only been using the paid version for a day, so I’m not sure if other problems will come up.
Voiceover Audio
This is one of the first editing apps that has actually allowed me to edit how I needed too, but the only problem I am having is that I detached the original audio and wanted to add a voiceover. When I recorded my audio, it shows that it has recorded but when I play the audio back I can't hear anything. Can someone help me figure out this issue.

Absolutely awful
Laggy. You can't click on anything the first time, it always takes several tries to do what you want. And you can't export your video unless you pay $20. Please don't get.
Nice watermark...
This is completely unusable unless you pay for it. It's also extremely slow. if you use the free version it posts an ENORMOUS RED watermark right at the center of the video. Pathetic, should be removed from the appstore.
Not Actually Free
These people market a free editing software and then leave a watermark. That you have to pay 19.99 to remove. No thanks.

I had just gotten this cause my iMoive was glitching and when I upload it it says " Movie Edit Pro" Like I don't want that there and I don't know how to remove that and I would like to upload things to tiktok and youtube without that being there... I don't like that way it is with that coming out of nowhere and you can't even take it out.
Huge water mark and purchase is difficult
I as many others downloaded and utilized the app to produce a short video on time. The effects are simple and straightforward, not a lot of tools but effectively gets the job done. The main hang up is the size and intrusiveness of the watermark. The app isnt worth using if you arent going to pay for it. There is a purchase bos in the top menu but everytime i attempt to pay the 19.99 for the “for ever” use of the the program it freezes and won go any further. I was worried the computer was freezing but i was able to just close the command box. I can’t figure out how to purchase he app at the app store either so I am stuck with finished product that I cant use becuase I can’t figure out how to pay to remove the water mark

Works
I’m giving this 3 stars because as a video editing app it does its job, but is very very simple. I used it, and will likely only use it to edit acting auditions and it does the job well and exports fast, and has a lot of different options for formatting. This is great for submitting auditions. However, this is because there is little to no editing needed. It’s just one long take of one video and transitioning from one scene to the next with a simple fade out/fade in. If I were using this for actual video editing I’d be disappointed. So I guess it’s what you want to use this editing software for.
Don't get it
I have been using iMovie for a year now and decided to get more editing apps. I got this one and it is horrible. It is a rip off of iMovie exept it looks really cheesy.
Gave up after first time
Wanted to try this app out but can't even export a video without having to pay for the full version. I tried exporting one video and the water mark was so big that you couldn't see anything of the actual content. Terrible experience!
Its a trap!
The program works great, but they trick you into thinking its free, then the free version puts a huge water mark on the whole video. Frustrated my options were pay full price or make my video again.
Horrible App
Took me an hour to edit a 2 minute clip... I will never purchase this App.. They should pay me to use it... I want my hour back...
Not bad for basic editing
I needed to splice together some footage as wellas rerecord the audio over the video. I was just making simple videos of "how to" in a campsite for me work. It's exactly what I needed. I spent the $20 (one time fee) to support the developers, as well as have unlimited access to this editing program.
WaterMark
This app is great, but their is on huge problem. The WATERMARK. This is simple and easy to use having various amounts of options to make a video, but as i was about to upload my video it mentioned that there was going to be a watermark. I was completely fine with that as long as it was going to be a normal watermark. When i saw the video i found out there is a huge watermark right in the middle of the screen! i spent over and hour making this video only to find out that were was a huge giant text box in red letters that say MOVIE EDITOR, i just wanted to make a simple video, i expected a normal watermark but was surprised to see a giant red text box, taking the attention of the audience from the video. Who want this? Im just trying to do this for a small project not spend money. I was going to continue using this app untl i saw that stupid watermark, if you could only put a real watermark in the corner by just using the name or the logo of the app.
Awful
If i could give this 1/4 of a star I would. I didnt want to buy the full version and settled with a water mark; only I didnt know it WOULD BE IN THE CENTER IF THE VIDEO. Terrible aspects, slow, definitly find somthing else.

don't buy this app. it TRICKS you. pls just download imovie. i edited my whole video and i was so excited, and then it had a huge watermark over the whole thing. the only way to get rid of it is to pay twenty dollars. this app is horrendeous. just get imovie instead i love it. the only reason i got this app was because my computer didn't allow imovie. don't buy it unless you are willing to pay 20 dollars. it is also more confusing than imovie once in the app. bad. just bad.
Not good
EXPORT WAS DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I EDITED. This program is not ready yet. in addition to the Audio being different what I edited, The quality of the exports is lacking. at best 256k and 5 frames per second. there is almost no reason to use this instead of Imovie.
HUGE waste of time
I spent hours of editing just to find out at the end that there's a huge water mark in the middle of your video when you export (which takes forever btw) unless you pay about $20.
