Can even record video in the program… would have been nice to know that before I got this program…

only rec 30 fps

It only REC 30 FPS

Disappointment

I have saved clips and have edited e few times but now pressing export button just locks the program. Therefore I did not get what I paid for. I hope they can find a way to fix this. I have uninstalled and downloaded again but did not work. I desperately waiting for a fix.

Easy to use

Easy to use application, I am not vey skilled any video editing at all and I was able to use this application with ease. I had to asked support for help a couple of times but response was prompt and I was able to resulve the issues I had. I can merge, split videos which are the 2 main things I needed to do and I could not fidure how to do it with iMovie. Recommended.

Great for a budget

I use this software to edit my video projects on my mac. Wasn’t looking for something as expensive as Final Cut Pro X but this is significatly cheaper and has all the main bells and whistles.

Lite Version Stamps a Watermark

This is a surprisingly robust and easy to use app for very basic video editing. However, please be aware that the lite version does stamp a watermark onto your exported video - a fact that is poorly, if not at all, communicated. This makes it pretty essential that you purchase the full version if you are happy with the app. I did feel a bit tricked after I spent the time creating my first project to suddenly be informed of the watermark. Just be honest.

What the heck!!!

This is the worst application I have! Its audio functions are so limited! I mean, I’m only a kid and I know that this is a very under quality editing app. Also, with the export, if you try to cancel, it freezes and you have to restart the whole project! I hate this app.

Easy and fun

I am the Bremuda Triangle of technology. Tech goes in pain suffering and silence comes out. Not here. Made several moto VLOGS. Made everyone cry (no dang it in a good way) from the parents 50th anniversary. Nope works great. What did you say Honey? “I am ready for mu close Mr. DeMille..”.

Great App but needs some improvements

I was a little indecisive at first so i downloaded the free one and did a trial run. I like the app, a little confusing and still working on figuring some things out. But it is a good app, i make youtube videos for gaming so this app is quick and easy to use. I gave the app 4 stars instead of 5 because there are some things they could adjust, such as adding video and audio, took me a few minutes to figure out on my own. If you do not like this app i would recommend MovieMator Pro for the same price. Amazing and simple to use but the audio on moviemator pro doesnt always come out good. which is why i now use this app.

Movie Eidt Pro Movie Loading & Export Functions Are Glacially Slow

For basic editing functions the app is okay. The framing function could be improved in the way you choose the sizing of what is to be shown. My main displeasure with the app is that it’s incredibly slow when initially loading movie files for editing & exporting the final rendition of what you’ve edited once you’re done. Not sure why these functions take such a crazy amount of time.

Great editor for the price

This little editor is perfect for building Youtube videos! I haven’t found any glitches or unusual quirks. You can’t beat the price for the “Pro” version…well worth it. Perfect performance on my old MacBook! I don’t need a huge editor, taking up space and reducing my bank account! My system never slows down while editing! Update: I just finished putting together a video, from The Men’s WORD Retreat…smoooooooothe as silk! Love the ease of cutting away audio and using as a bed for other videos...

Overall Great Buy

I bought this to try my hand at a marketing video for my real estate company. I figured for $20, I could afford to at least give it a try and see what happens. I never had experience editing videos in my life. We shot a quick video with our iPhones, I uploaded and edited the video in about 6 hrs worth of time, most of which was spent figuring out the software as well as how to download and save sound effects, pics, etc. Everything turned out well. I would have given the app 5 stars had there been a more accessible help feature. I tried youtube but the video I was watching wasn’t the most help in the world. I figured it out on my own and feel like most people can as well. I think for the price its a solid purchase, especially for the people just trying to get their feet wet with editing.

Awesome features, great support

This is one of the few video editors that I have found (outside of Adobe Premier, or Final Cut X) where you can specify the output resolution in a vertical/portrait ratio. Most of the others I tried were limited to landscape resolution formats. I’ve created a few looping videos so far, and the program has been easy to use. As others have mentioned, the preview portion is glitchy, where it will show the previous clip, or the original ratio in the preview pane - until you play the clip back, and then the edits you made seem to catch up. Overall, really easy to use, and has a bunch of great features.

Dont waste your money

This app is horrific. I’ve been an avid user of iMovie but wanted to try something else and after reading the reviews I thought this app would be a good fit. I typically make my own movies from trips I take, family events, etc. all ranging from 1-10 minutes long. I use my GoPro, and then add music in the background, transitions, etc. This app I thought would be a good fit for that except I find myself not being able to even TRIM a clip without having to “lock it” into place, which is just a stupid concept becuase then what if I decide I want it in a different spot? Then I have to unlock it and face this next issue…When you use the “Split” option and trim the video to where you want it, when you go to drag the actual clip to its place, it stretches it back to its original format - so the time you took to trim the clip to exactly how you want it, is back to square one. Its an annoying and frustrating process! The aboslute worst part about this app is that it lags HORRIBLY. I havent been able to get through a minute of footage because it doesnt keep up. It is so slow playing back, jumps, lags and completely stops. It is a shame because it is a very oranized, well put together app from the outside, but all of these interanal issues have made it a complete waste of my time and money. What should have taken me maybe an hour to complete for a 1 minute video, I havent even been able to finish, and won’t. Going back to iMovie.

Ideal for my needs

This straight-forward, well-designed app fits the bill perfectly for my needs—making YouTube videos of still photos with music. Importing and manipulating media is simple, as is exporting projects in a wide variety of formats. Pretty much everything you need is right in front of you, requiring few to no trips to menus. I found the layout to be intuitive and quick to master. The only negative I notice is occasional audio monitor glitching which doesn’t seem to show up in the exported videos. Highly recommended.

No Frills

First a rip! I upgraded my iMac OS to High Sierra and Boom, Final Cut Pro no longer works. no cut-rate update either, just buy the updated FCP for 300 bucks. I hate Apple! That said I went cheap and got MEP which does exactly what I expected. A great little no frills editor without a lot of bells and whistles. Not much more to say except it does the job, easy to use and fast too. Good product!

EASY to Use! Fun to create!

I’m not an avid video-maker, so I think this program is pretty sweet and easy to use! Are there limited options? Maybe, but if there were too many it would take to long to create my video! I made a 12 minute “slide show” with pictures, videoes, text, clipped internet images, music and used layered pictures as backgrounds. I was able to edit pictures & videos (crop, zoom, flip, etc.) as well as split music pieces. ALL very easy to do! I do have a PC and I tried finding an affordable & easy to use program with this many features, but this app beat them all! One thing I couldn’t do, either because I was too lazy to look it up or these features are not a part of the app, but I would have like to be able to slide a pic/video into an earlier portion of the time line without having to manually move all of the following items! It would be good to have an insert option & all of the following would adjust according to the insert. However, I would Definitely recommend!

Basic Editing, Choppy Preview Mode

This is good for basic video editing, things like voiceover, trimming clips and audio, adding transitions and text, all that stuff. So far I can’t find a way to do any sort of green screen thing, but it gets the job done well for everything else. However, the big issue is that while you’re editing, the preview window for the video is incredibly choppy and is more like a picture slideshow of your video, rather than an actual video. This is incredibly annoying as it’s hard to tell exactly what one clip looks like at any specific point, and it’s even harder to try and line up a sound effect with something happening on screen. I contacted support about this, and according to them it’s a common issue that they’re gonna try to fix in the future, but who knows when that’ll be.

Not bad at all for the price.

I have worked on alot of software and for the price not bad at all…If u need more of a pro look with all the whistle it’s going to costed a whole lot more then $20 bucks……I like it! It’s easy to use and get the easy job done.

This is not helpful at all!!

I was trying to edit a youtube video and this app gave no help. Hoping to add transition, I split the clips but at the wrong place. I didn’t see an undo button. I was left with a ruined video and 20 bucks lost. I do not suggest this app if you’re looking for a decent editing app.

Good

This app works well for editing youtube videos, but sometimes it is slow and it takes a while to export the video. Not sure if this is because of my laptop, or the app. The app is easy to use and a good place to start, considering it’s fairly cheap compared to other editing software, and you only have to pay once. Overall I recommend this app.

LOVE IT!

Didn’t hesitate to purhase it. Its way more than affordable and works excellent for my needs without the need for a manual or any complicated buttons and stuff I don’t have the time to learn. I love it! Surely worth every bit of $19.99 I paid! My videos on YouTube LosingDrea is my channel, look professional now. I was able to make my own intro and I can put text animations anywhere I want on my frame(s) of my videos. No complicated tutorials required.

Perfect for Easy Editing!

I love this program! It is set up more like the old iMovie that everyone knew and loved from 2006, which was very easy to use for people who just do basic editing. This program also allows you to edit audio too, so it’s a one-stop shop. The quality of my videos are pretty excellent, I can control the basics (rendering, sound, fps, etc.) but without getting overly complicated. The money I spent to buy this program is the best $20 bucks I have ever spent!

Intuitive and just what I needed.

I was using the iMovie application for years and suddenly it just stopped working for some reason. I needed to get a video up on Youtube and so glad I found this! I bought the $19.99 version and it works quite well. I had my video up in no time. Thank you! The controls are intuitive, but I do wish I had a manual so that I could make my videos even better. Maybe one of those “Classroom in a Book” type books would help, too, where you work on projects and learn video editing skills along the way.

Where’s the documentation?

By looking through the features of this app, I found it will very useful. However, the documentation is very skimpy. It’s like getting a 3-page manual for your new car. You can start the car, but you have to guess how everything else works. The users aren’t mind readers and shouldn’t have to guess how things work. Why should I have to spend extra time guessing when it should be documented. For example, I wanted to have a text box with the title of the presentation and presenter’s name dissolve after a period of time. When I selected dissolve, the shape of the box changed and reformated the text. Huh? Because there is only a very brief instruction about effects for text boxes, I have no idea why that affect changed everything. A text box is a text box. How I format and place the text box should not be affected by the animation affect I select. Because there is no explanation why this affect is acting this way, I am stuck with static affect! I am becoming very frustrated by having to guess what the features of this app do. I will start looking for another app. I upgraded from the lite version to get away from the watermark on the finished product and hoping for complete documentation. The watermark went away but no additional documentation.

Simple interface does what I need

My first job was to combine silent video with an audio track, it works great. I haven’t used many features yet. this program has run fine so far on 10.9.5 which I use so I can run iPhoto. The only thing I haven’t found, is a way to type in a "time code" to jump the entry point to. Setting the resolution was a little confusing, but I think I’ve found it. The export is very versatile in file types and audio/video data speed settings. I also like the Lite (free) version so I could try out the program before buying. (having a big water mark is not a problem.) This is great for people, like me, who want to stay with an older OS. Thank you for the support!

Love this app

There are some things I would love to see added or changed but all in all I love the app. I think it is very easy to use and have not had a bit of problem using it. There are problem so feature I have not found yet but I can not wait to discover them. I make Youube videos and I liek this better then iMovie.

Pro Version “Edit” does NOT work

I just spent the $19.99 to get the Pro Version and all the supposed extra functionality is still grayed out so I cannot edit the video or anything. I’ll be asking for a refund.

I made an excellent video!

I started off using iMovie, but found this program to be much better. I’m thrilled with what I was able to do with $20 software. I downloaded the free one first to test it out, then upgraded. I was able to add transitions, create simple kinetic topography, crop, trim, speed up/slow down video, and detach audio with this. I had most of my actual video done through Fiverr, and the results were excellent. I wish I could attach the video I made. The only things I’d like are a tutorial with naration, and I was never able to see how to insert a clip into the middle of the film- but I didn’t watch the whole tutorial. All in all, I am very glad I bought this!

slow and glitching

it was doing “ok” before this last update. Very slow (hour-ish) in exporting videos, but i could work on other things while waiting. This last update made it ridiculously slow and terribly glitchy (video and sound), wont load correctly when beginning a new project, wont save mid project so i can come back to it since its not loading correctly, and literally took 2 hours to export a 1 hour trimmed video. I would love some help or a refund.

Ridiculously Easy & FAST

NO great big complicated extras. I’ll use final cut pro for that. This is quick, elegant, and so easy. Just love it.

Don’t Buy

Very unhappy. I downloaded the free version for a school project and then it adds a watermark after I spent hours editing the video. I ended up buying the full version. Please do not download I was very unhappy with the app.

DON'T!! BUY!!! THIS!!!!

Poorly communication with customer. You took all the time to edit video, then it adds a watermark on it if you don't buy full version. Haha, then you think, watermark isnt a big deal most photo/video editing apps have it on the corner. NO! WRONG! THIS WATERMARK COVERS YOUR WHOLE VIDEO, LITERALLY. please don't buy this app, it's a scam, quality is poor also.

What the heck!!!

This is the worst application I have! Its audio functions are so limited! I mean, I’m only a kid and I know that this is a very under quality editing app. Also, with the export, if you try to cancel, it freezes and you have to restart the whole project! I hate this app.
